Mala 📿

Ending with a tassel sprayed out in reverent colors. It has become a fashion item.

They lay around my neck always knowing there is a spiritual depth, essence to them never knowing what ...

As I have seen thousands and thousands of them in the streets of India in shops & around necks in many countries around the world.

I love their presence, always beckoning, whether the color or the roundness of the beads,  the big bead (Guru Bead ) at the end. Ended with a tassel sprayed out in reverent colors.

December 2017 ... I bowed my head as my teacher placed the Mala around my neck. Dark Rosewood with a burgundy tassel. Simple, not expensive jewel or bead, this Mala now placed on my neck has become a symbol of deep reverence and honor .

A symbol and connection to stillness to go “INWARD”

This mala would forever travel with me. Around my wrist, neck or laid in my right hand threading the beads Though my fingers releasing, connecting, the restless mind or the deep devotion to the mantra I would later learn to chant.
